By Lisabet Sarai

When Tina offered me the 31st as my day at Sweet n’ Sexy Divas, I accepted immediately. This meant I’d get to post on Halloween, New Year’s Eve and my own birthday – which happens to be today!

Yes, I’ve made it through another year of writing and publishing steamy romance. No, I’m not a best seller yet, but who knows what the next year will bring?

To entertain SnSD readers today, I have a sizzling excerpt from my my BDSM erotic romance The Gazillionaire and the Virgin. And as part of my birthday celebration, you can download this best-selling, full-length novel for free, between today and next Monday. See the details at the end of this post.

Plus, I am giving away a $10 bookstore gift certificate to one randomly selected commenter. To be eligible, you must include your email in the comment, so that I can find you if you win. (I promise I won’t use the email except to locate you.)

Want another chance at the gift certificate? Go leave another comment on today’s post at my own blog, Beyond Romance. Same rules.

Blurb

Trust can’t be bought—it has to be earned.

She’s the billionaire. He’s the virgin. Still, he knows how to make her melt. One word from Theo, one touch, and Rachel surrenders to bliss. It seems that love and complementary desire may harmonize their differing values, until Rachel’s unwitting violation of Theo’s trust tears them apart.

On your knees.” I haven’t the slightest idea what I’m doing, but I figure that’s as good a way as any to begin. “Don’t move.”

Rachel sinks to the carpet with impressive speed. Without further instruction, she adopts the classic position, sitting back on her heels with her back arched and her hands on her thighs. My cock hardens at the familiar posture. Who knows, maybe she watches kinky porn too.

The white of my shirt contrasts nicely with her olive complexion, but right now I really want her naked. I rummage in the plastic bag on the couch until I find the shears. Circling behind her, I grab the collar.

Hold very still.” I hear her intake of breath, just before the steel blades slice into the fabric. I cut my way down her spine, until the ruined garment flaps open, then peel the rags off her arms. I ignore the pang of guilt I feel at destroying a perfectly good shirt. As Rachel would tell me, it’s only money.

That’s better. Now I’ve got a fine view of her luscious breasts, so full and high, topped with the juicy raspberries of her nipples. Her sleek, strong thighs part slightly, revealing wiry curls that are visibly damp. Pussy scent hangs in the air around her glorious body. I swell further as I stalk around her, admiring the elegant curve of her back and the way the ample flesh of her ass spills over her little heels.

Clasp your hands behind your head.” She complies almost before the order is out of my mouth. The slight change further elevates her tits. Oh, but those rosy nipples just cry out for some clamps! I’ve got some clothespins that would do the trick—just the thought makes my cock throb—but we’ve got to go through the formalities first.

Facing her again, I weigh her breasts in my palms, tracing the dark areolae with my thumbs. She shivers at my teasing touch. “I want to tie you up, Rachel, and do things to your body. Torture these nipples a bit. Maybe whip you with my belt. Stick things into your pussy, your mouth, or your ass. I won’t hurt you, not any more than you can bear. But I need your consent first.”

Her wide eyes remind me of some anime character. Her lips are slack and soft, as though inviting the sort of invasion I describe. Her chest rises and falls with her quick, shallow breathing. She looks young, succulent, needy and a bit scared. The self-confident billionaire entrepreneur has totally vanished.

Power surges through me. She wants what I have to offer. I just have to make her admit it.

I loose my cock from my jeans and pump my erection a few times, just for effect. I think I’m bigger and harder than ever before. Her worried gaze flicks down to my cock. “Do you agree, Rachel? Can I do what I want to you?”

She swallows. She squirms. This is more difficult for her than I would have guessed. It was, after all, her idea.

Well? Speak up, Dr. Zelinsky.”

Yes.”

Yes what?”

She squares her shoulders and meets my eyes bravely. “Yes, I consent. You can do what you want, Theo.”

Good girl.” I bend to reward her with a kiss. Her mouth is sweet and hungry. “If I’m hurting you too much and you want me to stop, say ‘Apple’. Understand?”

Yes, yes, of course. ‘Apple’. Now would you please get on with it?”

I chuckle. “Patience, Rachel. I’m in charge here. It’s not your place to make demands.” She lets out a squawk as I rather brutally twist her nipple. “Is it?”

Ow—no—no, sir.”

Hmm. Where did that come from?

And from now on, you’ll be quiet, unless I ask you a direct question. Nod if you agree.”

She does. Who would have believed Rachel Zelinsky could be so obedient?

Good or Bad Customer Service

Good or Bad Customer Service by Vicki Batman

Recently, my sister and I idly visited a big box beauty store. I picked up a few things I needed and went to check out. The sales associate automatically asked for my phone number, which I knew to be for their loyalty program. I said, “No, thank you. I don’t do loyalty programs but thank you for asking.”

She said, “Are you sure?”

“Yes, I’m sure.”

“Are you sure?”

“Yes, I am.”

Then she singsonged, “You’ll miss out.”

My sister said, “She has said no three times. Stop harassing her.”

The associate said, “I’m not harassing you; you are harassing me.”

I said, “Me? No, I’m not.”

Then, a customer chimed in and said we were harassing the associate.

No, we weren’t. I didn't raise my voice. I didn't speak in a threatening manner.

We finished checking out. I said, “Thank you,” took my bag, and met my sister by the door.

The associate joined us at the door and said we had to leave the store.

I looked at my sister and said, “I believe we are being thrown out.”

The associate said we had to leave now.

So, who was in the wrong in this circumstance?

Not me. The associate should have taken my first no and continued the transaction.  I believe the big box beauty store’s customer service failed, especially when pressing me for my phone number for a loyalty program multiple times. Once is enough. I get to choose who I give my number to, and in this case, I didn’t want this company to have mine. I also get to choose not to shop there anymore.

With books, I expect to have a good read every single time. Of course, that doesn’t always happen, but I don't throw a fit. As a writer, I’ve found some readers love my work, and some don’t. That’s life. We all have different likes and dislikes.

I am sure many of you have been in similar circumstances. Do you give them your number and put up with the emails and texts? Do you brush off lousy customer service?

Maybe you'll agree with these reviews:

-I loved it! It was a very entertaining and a fast read that kept me engaged throughout. The pacing was perfect. My only complaint is now I'm craving M&Ms and enchiladas. And donuts. And wedding cake.

-I laughed. I wondered. Then I laughed some more. Every page of Temporarily Out of Luck delivers a satisfying story and heartfelt humor. Don’t miss this great read!

-Vicki Batman delivers pure entertainment--once again!

Read The Great Shatter by Kim Alexander #Fantasy #Romance #Urban #Dark #Steamy

The Great Shatter
(New World Magic Book 3)

Synopsis

A unicorn walks into a bar...except there are no unicorns or bars in the court of the Unseelie fae, which sucks because Marly could really use a drink.

Honestly, going from human to vampire, to something not quite mortal would drive anyone to drink. Being hounded by a grudge-holding kitsune didn't help, either. But when the king of the Unseelie fae declared Marly his queen and the hope of his people, it seemed her troubles were over, and off they went to his magical kingdom in a reality-tv-worthy happily ever after.

Except it's more hard landing than happy ending. Marly is thrown into the crosshairs of ancient hatreds where war masquerades as etiquette, shadows must beg for light, and things with tentacles are just waiting for something to go wrong. And something is going wrong...very wrong.

With every mis-step, she stumbles closer to the edge of a darkness waiting to consume her, and the king's love is like a poison that can cure or kill. Her only hope is to unveil the truth dancing in the great mirrors in the sky, even if that sky comes crashing down.

What are the other books in the series?

Pure

‘A unicorn walks into a bar….’ That is not a joke.

Look, I’m a bartender, I have nothing to do with the xenos.

I don’t care if it’s an elf or a vampire--as long as they don’t bother me, I steer clear.

I have my reasons--you can see them in the scars on my neck. I never wanted to get involved. But my life changed for the second time when I saved the life of a unicorn. I made an enemy of something old--old and evil, and whatever it was, it’ll be back for another try.

I also made a friend when I decided to help March. He’s only been a human man for a day. I’m responsible for him now. He’s my friend…and maybe something more.

Maybe a lot more. It doesn’t matter to me that he isn’t magical anymore. I don’t care if he’s not PURE. But he does.

-----
The March Effect

A unicorn walks into a bar…and leaves with my heart. He’s gone, and now I have a unicorn-named-March-shaped hole in my life.

But, I get it. Unicorns aren't meant to live in a world where they have to deal with putting gas in the car, getting groceries, and paying cell phone bills. I'm trying to get past this. Really, I am. It's just that everyone constantly talks about him, from his immortal ex-girlfriend, to reality TV-obsessed Fae, to even my own fully-human friends.

Even his enemies are still obsessed with him. I learned that the hard way.

Did I mention the part where I end up on the run—again—from an old, powerful enemy of his? Yeah. Fun times. I just want to be left to get over my broken heart while watching home improvement shows and eating ice cream. But mysterious disappearances, murder, and a quest for affordable real estate in Washington D.C. keep getting in the way. Maybe that's just life.

Sometimes we get what we want.

Sometimes, we get what we need.

And sometimes, we get what we deserve. I guess you could call it…The March Effect.

The Great Shatter

A unicorn walks into a bar...except there are no unicorns or bars in the court of the Unseelie fae, which sucks because Marly could really use a drink.

Honestly, going from human to vampire, to something not quite mortal would drive anyone to drink. Being hounded by a grudge-holding kitsune didn't help, either. A Poisoned Garden

A unicorn walks into a bar and…wait, what was I saying?

Look, between what I’m pretty sure is premature senility and wanting to barf all the time, I’m barely hanging in there. At this point, I need a break after solving xeno murders, fighting murderous fox shifters, and my best friend nearly murdering me for…reasons.

But do I get a break? No, I get an invitation to the court of the Unseelie fae, and it’s the kind of invitation you can’t refuse because it’s from the king who flip-flops between wanting to share a pizza with me and stabbing me.

The upside is that I can see my best friend Marly, the newly minted and slightly murderous Unseelie fae queen. The downside? Apparently, I have to prevent a civil war between powerful magical beings, and I don’t even get a can opener for self-defense.

Just like clockwork, I’m back to running from supernatural squids, double-dealing with triple-dealing fae who probably all want me dead, and getting tangled up with a beautiful, broken-hearted unicorn who makes me feel guilty, and I don't know why.
After all, we've never met before...have we?

-----

The Glass Sword

A unicorn walks into a bar…it's cheaper than therapy.

Therapy, you say?

Sign up Marly, the angry ex-Unseelie-fae-queen.

Or how about Sasha, the bitter exiled-Unseelie-fae-king?

And definitely Ruby, the mortal bartender who lost her heart when she found her memories of March, the unicorn shifter she loved.

A good therapist would say learn to live with the consequences of choices, but Ruby isn't ready to accept that a choice she didn't even know she made landed March as the prisoner of the Seelie fae court. And Marly and Sasha have some feelings about reclaiming the throne of the Unseelie court.

But consequences beget consequences. Amid dying kingdoms and the dying embers of old loves and older hatreds, friends become betrayers, lovers keep secrets, and someone or something is out for blood-red revenge.
