This book will be released today. There is a long short story featuring Mrs. Miller who has been married for more than a year now. This was a hard story to write since she really didn't want to be involved in another murder. Other people thought she deserved more stories, so I tried and she fought me all the way. For a time, I thought the murderer would be one of Kate's friends and didn't like that idea. Fortunately other villains stepped up to the plate. Also included with this story are most of the short stories I wrote and published in 1968 to 1970 before a magazine publisher told me one of the short stories I sent sounded more like the plan for a longer book. That short story finally became Murder and Mint Tea.
Of the other short stories, one has always been my favorite, Just a Small Smile is an adaptation of what happened te me when I was an eighteen year old student surse and had a dying patient as one of my first ones. That patient taught me a lesson and I learned to smile with the patients when sometimes I wanted to cry. The other short stories don't have the poignant bit of truth as that one.
