This Christmas by Megan Slayer
Christmas is the time to try again…
Tennessee Landes never stopped loving his ex-boyfriend Jordan Moore. The
trouble is he sees Jordan everywhere because they’re both on the rock music
scene in competing bands. It’s impossible not to cross paths. Tennessee’s never
known why Jordan left and he’s determined this Christmas to set the record
straight. He wants Jordan back.
Jordan’s struggle with his family and the abuses suffered in his past directed
him away from Tennessee and he’s regretted leaving ever since. When he sees
Tennessee’s heartfelt plea at a televised show, he finds the strength to
reconnect with the man he loves.
Will Tennessee take him back or will Jordan’s past scratch any chance of a
happy Christmas and future together?

Cullen nudged Tennessee. “Christmas is the time for love and
second chances. We’re going to keep entertaining the masses and having fun.
Spread cheer and joy, you know?” Tennessee asked. “Just have a great time.”
Cullen nodded. “Exactly.”
The presenter offered a dorky smile. Tennessee kept his own
fake smile on his face. Everyone was pranking the audience with the false sense
of fun. If the holiday season wasn’t being pushed so quickly and didn’t involve
such terrible memories, Tennessee might have been more authentic.
The presenter turned specifically to Tennessee. His canned
smile widened and seemed even more plastic. “Would you like to send a special
Christmas message to anyone in particular?”
If there was ever a chance to speak directly to Jordan
without being obvious, it was this one. He softened his grin. “Merry Christmas,
you. It’s not Christmas without you.” He winked, happy that he’d stayed
intentionally vague—unless Jordan saw it. He’d know exactly who you referred
to.
If Jordan saw the sentiment, then he’d get it. If he wanted
to reply, then he’d do it, but Tennessee didn’t expect anything. If nothing
else, the fans couldn’t say he hadn’t reached out to Jordan first. He’d
tried.
Christmas should be the time for laughter, good times, and
fun.
Love, too?
It was time to jingle some bells and listen for a jolly tune
in return. Right now, he had to hope Jordan heard it and wanted to sing the
chorus with him.
