The Shirtless Male Cover Reads

The Shirtless Male Covers

Back in the day, men who read magazines like Hustler and Penthouse would always mention how the articles were what they really wanted to see, not the beautiful women gracing the pages. I guess you can say that some readers feel the same way. After all, these hunky male cover models have nothing to do with it. *wink, wink*

She has everything she wants but time.

He has everything he wants but her.

Hanging on by a thread, first-year resident, Maggie Watson doesn’t need anything added to her plate. With a lead doctor always on her case, suffocating family expectations, and a schedule that leaves little time for sleep—the last thing she needs is a distraction. Especially in the striking form of Cam Chase, who stirs feelings in her she has no time for. He’s maddening and vain, but he’s also sweet and tender and despite her best efforts, she finds him taking the lead role in her fantasies. One kiss threatens to upend the delicate balance her life requires.

Cam Chase’s infamously charmed life has everything he could ever want on the surface. Handsome and likeable, he’s had all the money, women, and fame one could want. But when his father steps down from the charter jet company he built and leaves it in the hands of his brother Carter, Cam realizes he wants more. Lost and unsure where to look, he finds his purpose where he least expects it—reading to young patients under the watchful eye of Maggie Watson. She makes him want to be a better man and once he knows what he wants, he’ll do anything to prove to her and his family that he is worthy of their trust.

Excerpt

“Hi there, Dr. Watson.” Cam came to a stop a few steps away from her because he didn’t trust himself to keep his hands off her. Everything in him wanted to reach out and touch her. He remembered how soft her cheek was in the elevator that morning, how good her body had felt when he’d pulled her into his arms.

Maggie gave him a smile he’d never seen before; it was full of desire and confidence and, fucking hell, it made his heart pound. “Hi.”

For the first time in his life, Cam struggled to find something to say, but it didn’t matter, because before he knew what was happening, Maggie stepped forward, grabbed the front of his T-shirt with her fist, and tugged him down for the single hottest kiss he’d ever experienced. It was quick and hard, with just a hint of her divine tongue, but it made the entire room spin.

Cam stared at her when she let him go, instantly wanting more of that, more of her, more of anything she could give him. All he could do was grin at her.

“I’ve been wanting to do that for so long,” she admitted with a giggle, grabbing his hand. “Come on, dance with me.”

Welcome to Woodvalley Pines…where hunky firefighters save the day! It’s time to turn up the heat and hope this smokin’ hot fireman can control the blaze.

Libby hadn’t even been in Woodvalley Pines a day and she was already freaking out. Her kitchen had just set on fire. From toast of all things! That’s right, she was the victim of the elusive toaster fire. Yes, a toaster. Who knew they could just spontaneously burst into flames? She certainly didn’t. If that wasn’t enough to ruin her day, a swarm of hot firefighters seeing her in her pink pajamas would do it.

Zach tried his hardest not to laugh as the woman in the Disney pajamas accused him of keeping toaster fire safety a secret. He didn’t know where in the world this angry green-eyed princess had come from, but he had to admit that he was intrigued. After all, if she had this much passion when it came to talking toasters, what other kind of flames could he stoke in her?

Libby and Zach’s spark was instant, but will the fire burn out or can they keep the flames blazing?

Isobel Reed’s snarky humorous romances have fans fanning themselves as they devour the stories. Her books are one-clicks for readers who love Lori Wilde’s - The First Love Cookie Club and Jennifer Ryan’s - At Wolf Ranch books. Readers will struggle not to fall for the sexy small town heroes and the sassy women who claim them!

Quote

How does a frigging toaster just spontaneously combust?

Was this a thing? How was it possible she’d gone thirty-one years of her life without knowing toasters could just set alight whenever they damn well felt like it?

People should really talk about this. Spread the word far and wide. Beware of the toaster. It may look innocent, but it will burn your house to the ground when you least expect it. Why the hell weren’t more people talking about this?

It was starting to get smoky now. She needed to get herself together. Quick. At least she’d stopped screaming. Well, externally, anyway.

“Get your sh** together,” she mumbled before stumbling back into the living area behind her. The front door was just to the left of the main room.

Time to go. Come on, move Libby. Move.

She didn’t move. Her feet were glued to the floor. Suddenly, she heard a knock on the door. Was it a neighbor? Or was it the firefighters? Did firefighters knock?

She clearly didn’t react fast enough because the next thing she knew, a battering ram had made its way into her living room.

As men in uniform descended, she was still yet to move.

“Ma’am, you need to come with me, it’s not safe in here.” As she lifted her head, she realized the man’s fierce blue eyes were directed her way. Boring into her. Oh dear. He did not look happy.

Probably ‘cause you stood here staring at the fire like a freak instead of getting the hell out like the nice lady told you.

Jolting in awareness, she quickly nodded and allowed herself to be led outside by the big, strong man.

Once he’d steered her through the front yard, he gestured for her to sit on the curb. She did so without question, wincing as her bare legs grazed the cool concrete. Internally, she cringed as she looked down at what she was wearing.

They probably see women in pajamas all the time, right?

The Nights are Hotter in Africa…

When Erica Knight arrives in Lebombo Game Reserve for her first African safari she has no idea that her life is about to be changed forever. As an executive for a mining company she believes that negotiating the mining rights for the Lebombo Reserve will be a slam-dunk, but she didn’t count on locking horns with the reserve’s enigmatic owner, Jean-Luc de Graaf.

In the heart of a wild African landscape full of beauty and danger, Erica and Jean-Luc both stubborn and passionate find themselves on opposite sides of an escalating conflict. With the Reserve threatened by vicious poachers and runaway fires, they are thrown together unable to contain the scorching attraction between them.

Far away from the rat race of New York Erica feels the stirring of a different drum, ancient and irresistible. But surrendering to the wild would mean she would have to submit to the powerful attraction to Jean-Luc and she isn’t ready to give up control just yet…

EXCERPT

A slight breeze stirred, and despite the fires, Erica found herself shivering in her thin sweater.

“I think I’ll just go back to my room and grab a jacket.”

She stood up, and so did Jean-Luc.

“Fine,” he said. “I’ll just grab my rifle.”

Erica had forgotten that because out past the dining area, the camp was unfenced, guests were forbidden to walk around alone after dark and had to be accompanied by an armed ranger. She picked up her backpack while Jean-Luc took his rifle out of its case.

“This way.” He ushered her out of the boma and onto the path toward her room.

She shuddered slightly as his hand touched the sensitive area of her upper arm. “Wait, what is that noise?” she asked.

They both paused mid-route. Across the still night, they stood motionless, and listened to a strange, throaty growling sound, followed by a kind of deep bark.

“Lions,” said Jean-Luc casually. “Sounds like they’re mating.”

“Really?” asked Erica. “I thought lions hunted at night.”

“Actually, during mating season, they will have sex for three days. For all of that time, they don’t hunt, or even sleep.

Don’t worry—they are actually quite far off. When lions are near, I can smell them. You are perfectly safe.”

Erica felt safe from the lions, with a six-foot-four armed ranger at her side. But was she safe from the ranger? Or more to the point, was she safe from the desire she felt building in her at every second?

I rest my case... it's the amazing story inside. It's why we read books like this.
Or maybe it is the cover!

Until Next Month,
