Ruined by Turkey for another year! Last day of November and welcome to December, also a #RB4U giveaway opp!

So, I have a TURKEY rant.
How many of you like turkey??
I like it okay but it's not my favorite or my first choice.
I would be happy to have a nice big juice spiral ham for every holiday, my hubby would not let me get away with that though. He hates ham and turkey is his favorite. Figures we are at odds lol.
So every year I make this big turkey dinner with all the fixins just for him...then at Christmas, i get to make my wonderful spiral ham, but i also get him a couple turkey loads so that he doesn't have to eat ham. Don't ask me why i do it, i guess it keeps the peace.

I will note though, that hubby outdid himself this year. With the leftovers, he's made a homemade Turkey Alfredo and Turkey & Dumplings and they were both awesome !!!

So, speaking of Christmas,
Can you believe today is the last day of November???
I think the older i get the faster time flies by.
Tomorrow is actually the 1st of December and that's huge.
I mean things get real then, Christmas is only 25 days away and then shortly
after that, a whole new year!

My mind is filled with numerous things at this point.
Of course I'm stressed because Christmas is way too close for my liking, even though it's one of my favorite holidays.  It just gets harder as my kids get older. The items they want get harder to find and they are way more expensive. Toddler years were so much less stress. Most of the time they were happy playing with the boxes of the toys instead of the toys themselves.
When i ask my teens to make a Christmas list, they look at me like i grew three heads, i kid you not.
It has come to the point that when they run across something they need, they come to me and i just tell them, perfect, go put it on your list.  They get mad but then go do it.
My husband is usually pretty easy to shop for too and drops hints all throughout the year but it's hard for me to give a list for myself because some of the things i want are simple and domestic, and he is not about buying a hand mixer lol. He also thinks I already have too many books so that's off the list as well. Don't get me wrong, i have a very large book list lol. My oldest daughter is usually the one that buys me books, and i do the same for her.

I'm also excited for the new year in regards to my writing career !
I am scheduled for my first ever signings in 2019 and i'm really looking forward to it.
I will have a few boxed sets releasing throughout the year but i'm hoping to focus more on my individual titles as well. I have many.
Things are also hopping along with my pre-made cover group, Covers by Kay. Today is the last day for the post black Friday/cyber Monday sale so make sure to hop over there and check out some covers. I'm working steadily at growing my cover stock too.
Come join us, we'd love to help you with your cover needs :)

An exciting collaboration with Cris Anson

I'm currently working on the fourth book of my Kitchen Confessions series, Catering to Their Rules. It's a departure for me since it's going to be a menage. I've never written one of them before, and figuring out the logistics of it all—from how to make the changing POVs work to how to make the BDSM scenes work to how to make the sex work—is proving to be a challenge, though an interesting one at that. Hooray for research!

Cris Anson
One person I know who has been extremely successful at menage is Cris Anson. Unfortunately you won't find most of her 15 books that she's written in digital editions. There are some paperbacks on major retailers still left. She was published with Ellora's Cave and as most readers of erotic romance know, they went out of business a few years ago. It left a lot of authors bereft.

For me it was an opportunity. When I was first starting to write, Cris became a mentor and a critique partner. She introduced me to the Liberty States Fiction Writers group and we meet the second Saturday of every month. Over lunch one day, I suggested that we collaborate on a book to get her back in the swing of things, and thankfully for me, she agreed. I've always loved her writing and now I get to be a part of it.

We don't have a title yet, but we're making headway and sometimes when I read over what we've written, I'm not sure who wrote which part. It's been great fun and I can't wait to bring it to you. I hope we'll have it done by spring.

Have a great holiday season!

This Book Is Boring!

As an author, I'm always trying to connect my story with a reader, any reader. When that happens, I'm in heaven and when it doesn't, well let's just say I have an emergency stash of chocolate and Deep Eddy's. I recently released my first two books and it's been interesting to read the reviews. I've been blessed to receive mostly positive feedback, but there have been some who didn't like it. And trust me when I say, that's okay. However, in looking at the reviews I learned one lesson; some like action-driven plot and some like character-driven plot.

So what's the difference? A story needs both, right?

A character-driven plot will spend a lot of time sharing insight into what the character thinks and feels. It is the characters of these books that stay on your mind a lot longer than what happened. A good example of this would be Rocking Autumn: A Small Town, Second Chance Romance (The Homecoming Series Book 1) by Alyne Hart. As with all her books, she spends a lot of time diving into the why behind her characters' actions. What happens in the story is important, but it is the character arc that pulls at your heartstrings. Books like this will have a lot of dialog, both internal (deep POV) and external. *

An action-driven plot will spend a lot of time with the movement and actions of the characters. Thriller and military novels are like this. Anne Renwick's A Trace of Copper (An Elemental Web Tale Book)  is very action-filled. I couldn't read it fast enough because I wanted to know what happened next. And that's a big clue. "What happens next."*

All of us authors write stories that we hope will have the perfect blend of loveable characters and page-turning action. Sometimes it happens and when it does, the skies open, the sun shines through, and every leprechaun guides us to the end of the rainbow. But sometimes, our goal is to create a story that is one or the other and that's okay.

If you're a reader who likes fast-paced action, a story that delves into the inner thoughts of the leading man as he kisses the leading woman will be boring and not fun to read. A story that describes the city being blown up and a war raging as the couple kisses will be more your cup of tea. So the next time you read a boring book think about the author's purpose and judge if they created a narrative that achieved that goal. Maybe the book's not boring, maybe it's just not the kind you like to read.

** I enjoyed the action and the characters in both these books.

Alien Daddies: A Sci-Fi Reverse Harem Romance

By Sue Lyndon

On their world, bad girls are punished.

When nineteen-year-old Makenna stowed away on a departing spacecraft, she expected a short trip to the resort planet where her friends spend their summers. What she got was a year in the custody of six strict alien daddies with the authority not only to demand her obedience and punish her as they see fit but to use and enjoy her beautiful body in any way they please.

Torin never imagined taking a human as his mate, but the moment he catches Makenna hiding in his warship’s cargo bay he knows she is the woman he will claim, master, and share with his brothers. She will be their little girl, and they will be the daddies she has always needed.

Though she is shocked to discover that she now belongs to not one but six huge, handsome alien warriors, Makenna cannot hide her helpless arousal when her soaking wet panties are pulled down for her first bare bottom spanking. As her new daddies set about showing her all the ways a naughty little girl can be made to blush, quiver, and beg for yet another shamefully intense climax, Makenna is left feeling safer and more satisfied than she ever has before. But when someone tries to drag her back to Earth by force, will she lose the men she loves forever?

Publisher’s Note: Alien Daddies includes spankings, sexual scenes, and elements of age play. If such material offends you, please don’t buy this book.

3 Excerpts:

Excerpt 1 (PG-13):

Where was she?

He walked away from the weapons and followed the intoxicating scent of her, wishing she didn’t smell so wonderfully tempting. He hadn’t even seen her yet, and his loins were already aflame, desire thrumming through him in waves of pulsing heat. Odd, because he had never felt an attraction to any of the human females he had seen in passing before.

Why did the scent of this particular female stir him so?

He growled and turned down the final row of supplies, her scent growing stronger, filling his senses like some sort of exotic drug. He couldn’t get enough of her. Couldn’t stop inhaling deep breaths just to savor the invigorating scent of her. His cock went hard and his pulse raced with excitement. Would he be able to control himself when he finally found her?

The urge to corner her, strip off her clothes, and sink his aching cock deep into her femininity ripped through him like a tidal wave. Perhaps he ought to return to the bridge and alert his brothers to her presence, lest he behave like an animal when he finally caught her.

But no. He couldn’t stop searching until he found her. The need to have her in his possession was unstoppable and fierce.

“I know you’re here, little human, and I will find you.”

A faint gasp caught his attention, and he rushed forward to find her hiding in a small space between two large crates. Her frightened blue gaze met his.

He pulled her from the hiding spot.

“Caught you.”

Excerpt 2 (Rated PG-13):

“Kenna,” he repeated, slowly saying her name with his deep, sexy voice.

The muscles of her inner thighs abruptly clenched.

Great. She hadn’t been on a date in weeks, and suddenly she was attracted to an alien male who was going to hand her over to the authorities once his warship reached his home planet. She exhaled a shaky breath, hoping he didn’t sense her unwanted attraction. Some alien species had heightened senses compared to humans. The very thought of him detecting her arousal left her mortified. And he kept sniffing her… oh, God.

“Little human Kenna,” he said, “my name is Torin of Ohma. I promise you will not be harmed on my ship, the Rithona. Once we arrive on my planet, I will attend your trial and speak to the judge on your behalf. I will push for a behavioral rehabilitation program rather than jail.” By now, his initially hard expression had transformed to one of deep concern, as if he actually cared about what happened to her.

Fresh tears pricked at her eyes and she quickly dashed them away with the back of her hand. She rarely cried—she was an expert at bottling up her emotions—but for some reason, in front of this huge handsome alien called Torin, she felt her defenses crumbling. For the first time in a long time, someone was looking upon her with kindness and offering to help her, even if he had seemed angry when he initially discovered her hiding on his ship.

“Thank you, Torin of Ohma.”

He nodded and reached for her hand. “Come, little girl, let’s get you out of the cold.”

Excerpt 3 (Rated X):

“Look how wet she is,” Daddy Aras said, running the phallus over the wet slit of her nether lips. “I can use her natural essence for moisture rather than the bottle of lubrication.” His words caused her to heat all over, and she trembled as he slid the phallus into her pussy, driving it deep into her feminine core, only to withdraw it a moment later and subsequently shove it straight back inside. He repeated this action several times, increasing his pace as he pumped it in and out of her wet, aching center, causing everything below her waist to tighten and pulsate with pleasure. To her utter mortification, a deep moan slipped from her throat.

Awash in shame, she buried her face in the covers.

Finally, he withdrew the phallus entirely from her pussy. Daddies Kameel and Nagen settled on either side of her, holding her down on the bed, while Daddies Vilad and Zane each pulled on one of her bottom cheeks from the side, spreading her privates even wider. Remorse and humiliation spiraled through her. A second later, she felt the pressure of the moistened phallus being pushed against her back hole. Her heart skipped a beat. Daddy Aras was shoving the huge object into her ass, and he wasn’t being gentle in the least. She gasped for breath and struggled to accept the burning intrusion in her tight bottom hole.

“Get it nice and deep,” Daddy Torin said. “She was very, very naughty today. I want her to feel the ache of the phallus in her bottom hole long after it’s been removed.”

Daddy Aras gave it an especially hard shove, and she whimpered and clutched onto the bedcovers, trying to summon the strength to endure such a strict punishment. Daddies Vilad and Zane released their hold on her bottom and each placed a hand on her lower back.

“It’s as deep as it can possibly go,” Daddy Aras said, running his hand slowly along her backside, as if inspecting his handiwork. “I bet you’re feeling thoroughly punished already, aren’t you, little girl? But you still have a strapping coming. A very hard one.”

Another page-turning story by Ms. Sue Lyndon with one feisty Earth female and six Khanndoran warrior brothers from a culture will have them claim their life-mate together.  From Earth stowaway trying to get to the party planet, Phennulos, to join her friends, she will find herself grounded by her father and sent to her room.  But Kenna is determined to make the trip and will sneak out and find herself inside a ship to join her friends—or will she?

The plot will have Makenna ‘Kenna’ Vega learning that her father is refusing to allow her to join her friends on Phennulos for the summer vacation because of her bad grades.  He doesn’t care what she wants to do with her life; he has it planned out for her.  She just has to find a ship and stowaway in the cargo hold.  Once they are in the wormhole, she will be safe.

Khanndoran warrior brothers, Torin, Aras, Kamell, Nagem, Vilad, and Zane have been on Earth for six long months in military training and ready to return home to their homeland.  The wormhole is only open for a very short time span every six months.  When they get home, they are hoping to find their life mate and claim her.  A group of brothers—a zoshin—usually claimed one female to share.

“Soon the six of them would have a mate to share.  A female to call their own.  Once they returned home, they would begin the process of selecting a life mate.”

What a shock for Torin to discover a human female in their cargo hold, and she thinks she is on her way to Phennulos.  The story she tells him and his brothers don’t seem to be truthful; They will give her an opportunity to tell them the truth.  What will happen when they arrive on Khanndoran, and their little human must face the courts for her rash decisions?

“Consider yourself surrounded by barbarians, little human.  Test us, and whichever one of us happens to be nearby will readily administer your discipline.  Obey us and treat us with respect during the next week and we will leave your bottom alone.”

“You are meant to belong to me and my brothers.  As our mate—and as our little girl.”

“They won’t claim you as their life mate unless you beg.  It is your choice, did she want them more than the freedom she desired?”

When the men learn the truth, they know their little girl needs them more than they realized.  But they will have to follow government protocol when landing.  While the six know she is their life mate they dreamed of, it isn’t going to be that easy to make things happen. They’ve made a promise to Kenna, and they are determined to keep that promise, no matter what it takes.

“Everything will be all right.  Daddy won’t let anything or anyone hurt you.  All your daddies will protect you.  You don’t sound like a spoiled brat, little girl. You sound desperate and afraid.  No little girl should have to go through what you went through.  No little girl should feel so alone in the world.  You’re a sweet little treasure.  And you’re never going back to Earth.  There’s nothing there for you but heartache.  You will stay with us, and that’s final.  You will be our mate.”

Ms. Lyndon has created fascinating characters with this reverse harem story. With her dominant daddy alien warriors, who planned on taking a life mate, have been dreaming of her, and until seeing Kenna, never knew she was from Earth.  Each will confirm she is the female they have dreamed.  Teaching their naughty girl that daddies expect to be obeyed, and if not, there will be punishment.  The story is complete and ends with a happily ever after ending.

The story has power exchange, multiple spanking scenes, with six daddies and one little girl.  The sex between them is consensual, and eventually includes ménage scenes of both three and four at a time. It will also include exhibition, humiliation, and medical play.

Heartwarming holidays FREE today November 25! by Suz deMello (#free #KU #sweetromance #multicultural #sports)

To celebrate the most heartwarming of holidays, Thanksgiving, I've made two of my most heartwarming romances free for the holiday weekend!

This was my first manuscript, and I'm proud to say that when it was initially published under a previous pen name, Booklist gave it a fine review:

Marti Solis is an accomplished physical therapist who works wonders with severely injured patients, but Jim Wellman is a macho football star who can't seem to get past her cute looks and smart mouth. He's always flirting, and his recovery is hampered by complications from the poor care he received after the injury--by both the team doctor and the hospital where he spent the past eight months.

His career in football is over, but Marti is determined to get him walking again. Jim, however, is his own worst enemy, making injudicious comments to the press and trying to talk Marti into bed at every opportunity until her patience is sorely tried. He understandably resents her seeing him at his most vulnerable even while he craves her undivided attention on a more personal level.

...a very enjoyable contemporary romance between a major sports figure and the therapist whose skill is all that stands between him and life in a wheelchair.

"Wings of the Wicked" Boxed-set Featuring "Devil's Claim" Excerpt and Giveaway!

Centuries ago, he died for her. Now, it’s her turn.

Pride kept them from looking at one another, but their bodies could not lie. Recognition lived in their souls, rekindling memories of passion, love, betrayal….and death.
Apache Elder Aidan Stringfellow,V, is a very wealthy man with one wish – to free his only son, the brilliant, yet abrasive David, from the curse that has plagued his family for generations.  When his controversial plan for a cure is revealed, shock and disbelief are only the beginning, for David has deadly, yet beguiling secrets of his own.
Choosing to honor Aidan’s wishes, David and Katala unwittingly awaken an ancient evil desperate to lay claim to the last-born Stringfellow – David. The tumultuous consequences of a vengeful pact spanning generations, defies time, tradition, and death itself.
Katala finds herself falling in love with a man whose gaze and touch ignite long-forgotten passion, propelling her to fight for his life. She unearths one devastating clue after another on her winding journey toward the truth, but unseen forces escalate their attack as truth collides with myth. Clinging desperately to her own sanity, she must find a way to reconcile the two, for even her own identity comes into question. Trust no one. Not even David.
Time is running out. Promises will be kept, and if the devil has his way, souls will be claimed.

David opened the closet and fished through his luggage to pull out a pocket knife.
As Katala accepted the knife from him, she couldn’t help frowning in remembrance of the time she had cut him when they were children. “I am still so sorry about…” She reached up to touch the scar on his forehead.

He interrupted her apology. “It’s long forgotten.” The words were spoken without a glance in her direction. “It had to be done,” he added.

“What do you mean?”

He made eye contact for a moment, then looked away again. “Nothing. Let’s do this.” He smiled, handing her a pair of scissors.
She quickly turned to begin opening the presents. As David lifted one of the boxes, Katala got a queasy feeling and touched his hand to stop him. “Who’s it from?”

David turned the box over and noticed there was no name tag. “It must have fallen off.”

“Take it outside the room. Something’s wrong. I can feel it.”

David looked a bit surprised by Katala’s request, but took the package outside the room anyway. Katala Followed.

Inside the box was a black, shriveled chicken heart with a note attached. You think because you married your little black witch you’re safe, but the Stringfellow bloodline will end with you.

Katala stepped back, clinching her fists as she looked at David. He showed no expression, but carried the box with its contents down the hall and dropped it in the waste basket. They did not speak of it further for a time.

Katala had always been told there was something mystical about the Stringfellows  - that their family line and hers were entwined somehow from centuries back, but even that did not explain someone’s desire to destroy all of the Stringfellows.

“How did you know?” David broke her train of thought.

“I just felt it. It felt like something was wrong when you touched it. Why would someone want to hurt you?”

He gave her a thoughtful look and a slight smile, then changed the subject. “Do you want to shower first or you want me to?”

“Oh. I’ll go first. It usually doesn’t take me too long.” She returned his smile and started for her luggage in the closet as she put the incident behind her for the moment. She could not rid herself of unease, though.

Katala stepped into the shower and took a deep breath. This entire experience was surreal. She could hardly believe he was actually in the next room waiting for her. She hoped he didn’t expect anything tonight, especially after the heart in the box incident, but there was only one bed. She watched the tiny white bubbles pop silently on her torso as she lathered her lower body. Her nerve endings seemed ultra-sensitive and every hair on her skin seemed to stand at attention. The warm water soothed her as each drop slid along her creamy chocolate skin to mingle at her feet.

Katala emerged from the bathroom in a white cotton gown that covered everything she could possibly cover and still sleep in peace. She even wore underwear. She was not going to make this easy.
David’s smile infuriated her. It was as if he thrived on her discomfort.
“Really, Kat? You look like a mummy.”
She had to laugh at her own silliness. “I don’t want you to get any ideas.”
