A New Year and A New Book #wip #SNSD #melissa_keir

A New Year and A New Book

Thank you for joining me. I hope your holidays were wonderful and that you received everything you were wishing for. The holidays are a great time to take stock in your life. You have new gifts arriving and so it's the perfect time to let some things go.

New Year's Day is the time most of us make resolutions or goals for the coming year. I'm not fond of that because honestly, I set goals all year long and I also realize that those beginning of the year goals are often broken all too soon. Do you set goals for yourself? What is your resolution??

One of my year long goals is to keep writing. Currently I have three WIPs (work in progress) I'm working on. One is another book in my Cowboys of Whisper, Colorado series. This story is my restaurant owner, Daisy's. He's an interesting man who deserves his happily ever after. I'm also working on a sequel to My Secret Mate. This time, a troll and a bridge is involved. The third story is another of my Magical Matchmaker books, however, this one has a fantasy twist.

In addition, I have two children's books. Both are currently with the illustrators and I hope to have them released this year when school begins in the fall.

And if that wasn't enough, I'm working on edits for my mother's romance novel. Back in the early 80's, my mom wrote a romance novel. She sent it out to various publishers to no avail. Sadly, she passed away in 1998 and never saw her novel published. Last year, my sister found mom's typewritten novel complete with the rejections and handwritten notes. I've been excited to make her dream come true. The Spitfire and Scoundrel will be published around Valentine's Day.

Whew... are you tired yet?? As you can tell, I like to stay busy and I may be a touch ADD. Or maybe my brain is like a computer with too many windows open!

I'll be sure to share as the stories become published and hope you will join me in celebrating their releases. In the meantime, I hope your 2019 is beginning with laughter and love!
