Vacation Pics by Harlie Williams! @marika67 @maw1725 @marikaweber25

Towel Art is very popular
So we are back from our first ever family vacation.  A great time was had by all.  Brian, our 12-year-old, tried to do everything on the boat the first day.  LOL!  Dude, slow down.  We have 7 days.  Anyway.

I will have to say that our cruise experience was a bit different this year.  One, the kids on the cruise were some of those most ill-mannered that I've ever encountered.  Parents nowhere to be found.  Kids being disrespectful to all passengers and even some the crew said that the kids were the worst that they have ever had on a cruise.  And no, this wasn't the tweens or teenagers.  These were the 1st-4th graders.  But I won't bore you with my thoughts right now.  Brian kept complaining, too.  He just couldn't understand their behavior.  Sure Brian meet friends and hung out with them but he was friendly, respectful and at times helpful.  *SMH*

Wearing clothes we bought in Jamaica
So here goes with the photos.  Read the captions to understand.  To refresh, we went to Jamaica, Grand Caymans, and Cozumel.
Brian HAD to take a picture with a Jamaican

So I'm sorry if I have bored you today.  That was not my intention.  :)

I'm sorry but I didn't take many pictures of the inside of the ship.  We can't wait to cruise again.  Just maybe NOT at Spring Break.

The towel art thing is every day. When they come to clean your cabin, they leave a new animal. That picture was on day 1 at the main pool. Everyone was taking a picture.

Glad you had such a great time! Hubs and I went on a cruise once, many years ago, B.C. (before children.) I won a free cruise from my job, but we had to pay our own bar bill. Yikes!(All of those on-the-deck piña coladas, and after-dinner kahlua and creams added up!) We've always wanted to go again, but raising and putting 4 through college was very daunting to our earning abilities. Maybe someday...

I bought a tee-shirt when I was in Cayman Islands that says, "I Cay-man went." LOL! Too bad I totally can't fit in it anymore.

About the wild kids, too many parents seem to think it's everyone else's job to teach their kids things like manners. Telling your kid about sex makes you uncomfortable? Make teachers do it. Talking with your kids about bullying or internet safety stresses you out? Make teachers do it. Teaching your kids manners? Too hard. Blame the teachers, who only see your kids for a few hours a day, instead of all of the other 24 hours of the day that you're with them. Oh, I forgot, that would mean putting your damn phones down and interacting with your kids. You remember, talking? Listening? Nah, too much work, right? Sigh...

@Fiona you win at Bingo! It's so sad. I'm with 1st-3rd graders now and it is awful. *sigh*
