After a long winter where I only left the house to ski, the spring is looking up with travel and conferences. One of the highlights is Book Expo America at the end of May. BEA is a wonderland for book lovers. I went as a reader last year and checked out many new books, leaving NY with a heavy bag full of them. This year I'm thrilled to be at Ellora's Cave's booth with the chance to meet new readers. I hope to introduce a few of them to my series with EC called Underground Encounters, paranormal erotic romances set in an underground Goth club.
My newest release in the series is a "quickie" called Gargoyle's Embrace. I've been thrilled with the reviews for this story. It's shorter than what I usually write, which means the writing had to be fast-moving and tight. Luckily, I have a fantastic editor who tore apart the first draft at BEA last year. I'm so glad she did -- it made the story much stronger. I love the final version and plan to write more about these mysterious gargoyle statues in the club in the near future.
