HOW TO WORSHIP A GODDESS, Book 2 in the Forgotten Goddesses series, will be released.
This story is a little dearer to my heart than most because the hero, Brandon, is a hockey player.
I love hockey. I love the speed. I love the physicality. And, yes, I love the fights. The guys are usually brawny and tough. They're not afraid to let their hair grow and they know how to take a hit without whining like a baby. Or a quarterback. They can skate as fast as sprinters and as beautifully as dancers.
My husband has been a huge fan most of his life and we have season tickets to the Reading Royals of the ECHL league. Our guys are usually young and hungry, looking to jump from here to the AHL and finally to the NHL. Some do and spectacularly so. Right now, three former Royals goalies are playing in the NHL--Jonathan Quick of the LA Kings and Ben Scrivens and James Reimer of the Toronto Maple Leafs. Every night we sit down to watch TV, I'll ask if one of "our" guys is playing. It's always a thrill to see them.
In HOW TO WORSHIP A GODDESS, Brandon is at the end of a long career. He needs to figure out what to do with his life post-hockey. One thing he does know is that he's sick of waiting to introduce himself to the beautiful woman who watches him so intently at every hockey game. He wants her and he's determined to have her.
What he doesn't realize is Lucy has a secret and that life is about to get very interesting...
