Moving!

Okay, I don't know about anyone else but I HATE moving!

To make a long story short, my husband and I moved house this past several days after I had spent a week on the west coast with my mom and sister's. It was our annual girls weekend so I flew out to Portland Oregon and we made the trek out to Lincoln City, Oregon for rain, sun and casino play. My mom didn't feel too well as she just got out of the hospital three days prior with a bad case of diverticulitis. For those non-medical people, that's like having open sores in your colon. Not fun.

Anyway, he moved a few things while I was gone, but the majority of it was done after I got back. Rested and relaxed from my week away? NOT! After moving our 2000 sq ft plus home into a 950 sq ft home, I'm now playing catch up with my writing, promoting and general stuff.

We also ended up putting one of our dogs down. She was pushing 15 years old and she had contracted some kind of infection that wasn't going to clear up withouy tons and tons of antibiotics. She'd had a pretty rough couple of years over the last few so my husband decided to put her out of her misery. We still have 3 dogs, 2 cats and 2 horses so we don't lack for animal affection.

Onward and upward as they say. I'm gearing up for Lori Foster's Get Together in less than a month. CMA fest the week after that and Fandom Fest in Louisville KY right before my birthday in July!

Summer's here and I'm ready to party!

Until next month

~ Sandy

So sorry to hear about your mom. That sounds painful. I hope she's doing better.

I hate moving, too, but I don't know anyone who enjoys it. The last time I moved I decided that when I move again, I would let the professionals handle it and hire a moving company.

Hope you enjoy your summer.

I've moved a LOT in my life and it's NEVER fun. I feel for you, Sandy.

Your new house sounds so cozy. Does it have a pasture for the horses snd dogs to play?
Your mother's recent illness and your sweet old dog having to be put to sleep may not be so great but I know you'll settle in nicely into your new home.
I always loved moving--except for carrying boxes and furniture. It always seemed like a new and exciting adventure to me. Since 1992 though I have lived in the same little house and I love it here better than any place I've ever been. Maybe you've found your special place, too, Sandy.

Sorry to hear about your Mom's problems, but that all-female gathering sure sounds like fun!
Hopefully you will feel at-home in the new place soon. And don't say the "s" word too loudly! I'm afraid you'll jinx it and it won't ever get here!

Sorry about your mom.

I hate moving too. So many things involved in doing it.

Good luck with that
